Nizoral Shampoo uses Ketaconozal, an anti fungal to help eliminate, on a short term basis, the fungus that causes both dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis. While it give great short term results we like the long terms results better with Zinplex Shampoo. The other downside is that the anti fungal is not made for long term use.
Many people use Nizoral for hair loss, seborrheic dermatitis, dandruff and even hair loss. Because it is an anti fungal shampoo this should show you that the cause of many different scalp problems including hair loss is often fungal or mite related. However, the reviews show that Zincplex seems to be more effective than Nizoral! However, we feel that shampoo rotation isĀ the best way to go.
Ketoconozale Cream & Shampoo! The brand name is Nizoral but the main ingredient used is Ketoconozale. The reviews seem to show that Ketoconozale is more effective in the beginning but then becomes less effective. Not ineffective just less effective! Zinc PCA does not seem to be this way. Zinc PCA does not seem to have the less potency as time goes on. For those that get decent response from Nizoral we strongly suggest that you use a shampoo rotation and use Zincplex Shampoo with Zinc Pca. It will make the Nizoral more effective but it too seems to be the most effective.

The results that I got from Nizoral were good at first but then seemed to drop off over the next couple of weeks. It seems though it become less potent against the seborrheic dermatitis itching and flaking. When I used it in a shampoo rotation it seemed to be much better.
